Spreading Out Like Butter on Toast

This afternoon I used the execuse of picking up some groceries to escape the house for a little while.  Then, on the way home I stopped by a Starbucks even though I didn’t particular feel like drinking anything.  Just needed to perserve some sanity.

I felt like a mother bird looking at a nest-full of baby birds, each with a wide open mouth demanding, “Give me.  Give me.”  And there was no moment of rest.  I only have one child.
The moonlit nursery was a wonderful sight for me.  Once again, I could take in a deep breath, relax the links in my spine and feel the back muscles loosen up.  Until tomorrow…
